Sad to see the original version of this become archived (GCXV1D), I spoke with the CO who has graciously allowed me to copy his work. Thank you Skadog!

I hope many more will be able to find the same level of fun as I and those before me did with this park and this cache.  It's a great memorial cache!

Please be prepared to spend some time in the park -- this is not a cache & dash, you will need to give yourself time to figure out the clues to finish your journey.

There is a lot of history here, and I hope you enjoy your time with the locals as much as I did mine. It is true, we are not remembered for what we receive, but for what we give. This is an offset cache. Print, copy, photograph, or memorize this page and you will have everything you need to find it. Enjoy, and good luck!

A lone soldier kneels in tribute to his friends and neighbors who once stood beside him. He looks across at the next generation who has gathered within the circle in an attempt to immortalize themselves as well. Within the circle, David smiles. He thinks that Jake and Tess are pointing at Eugene, who is standing right beside him. It turns out that Jake and Tess are pointing well beyond Eugene.

“That is where you need to go,” says Tess. “You can’t get there this way, but it’s not too far. Leave us in the past and seek the first sign of the new millenneum. That is where you will find the information you seek to complete your journey."

As you walk away, Jake adds, "Good luck in your search! We didn't all find what we were looking for, but what a journey it was."
