Liberty Tree Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Aurock: Time to let this one go. I'll probably come back and place another cache in the park someday, but I'll have to find a better place to put it where it won't be so prone to disappearing. Thanks to everyone who took the time to search for this!

Geocache Description:

A small cache with room for swag, stashed in a quiet little park.  This should be an easy find for most, but it might take a couple of minutes to get to it once you spot the cache.   Bring the kids along, they might be able to get to the cache easier, and enjoy some time at the playground on the north side of the park.

I'm not sure when or how, but apparently this park was re-named West Park.  When i was a kid growing up a few blocks away, it was known by a different name.  In fact, the sign on the corner still says "Liberty Park", even though maps seem to have all been updated to the new name. Back in the day, there was a wading pool at the north end of the park, complete with a cinder block shower house.

Because this cache has disappeared a couple of times, it is now a pill bottle container, and no longer has room for any swag.

I wanted to place a new cache or two in Kewanee, it needs more caches.  I chose this particular park because I don't care for the changed name.  To me, it will always be Liberty Park, no matter what the map says.
Congratulations to AnnieRach11 for FTF!
