Welcome to Adelaide, and happy discovering!
In this multi-cache you will be following the Rundle Mall Discovery Trail to discover some of the interesting places around Rundle Mall and North Terrace.
To complete the task, and discover the final location of the cache, you will need to refer to your discovery guide, the Rundle Mall Discovery Trail. You will need to download a copy of the Discovery Trail brochure as they no longer have them at the Adelaide Visitor Information Centre, or in the mall!
***Note – The brochure is no longer available on the Rundle Mall website - I have replaced the above link with a "backup" copy of the PDF available from my Dropbox.
There are 24 interesting locations on the Discovery Trail, you need to visit 10 of them, and they are included as Waypoint PA to Waypoint PJ. The total distance between the waypoints is about 1.3km.
At each waypoint location you will need to perform 2 tasks;
- Find the answer to a question, and
- Find the photo that can be spotted nearby.
** Some clues may no longer be in place, check the hints ** When you have all of the relevant information, use the following formula to calculate the location of the geocache;
South 34 [QD-PB] [PF – QB] . [QH – PC] [QA + PI] [PG + QI]
East 138 [PD + QJ] [PI + QE] . [PH + QG – QF] [PJ – QC] [PE - PA]
