The periodic table of elements are those approved by the International Union of Pure & Applied Chemistry.


Neodymium is a rare earth metal, with a bright silvery metallic lustre. It is present in misch metal (alloy) to the extent of about 18%. Neodymium is one of the more reactive rare-earth metals, and quickly tarnishes in air, forming an oxide that spalls off, exposing it to further oxidation.
