30 episodes of Citizen Smith ran on the BBC from 1977 to 1980. The show was written by John Sullivan, who later wrote Only Fools and Horses, and starred Robert Lindsay as "Wolfie" Smith. Wolfie is an unemployed dreamer from Tooting London, a self proclaimed Urban Guerilla who aspires to be like his hero Che Guevara. As leader of the Tooting Popular Front, his slogans are "Power to the People" and "Freedom for Tooting". His aspiration to create a communist Britain are usually thwarted through laziness and disorganisation. This was certainly one of the better 70's sitcoms and I have fond memories of watching Wolfie's antics in South London.
Tooting Broadway station features in the opening credits of series 1 & 2, and again in the closing sequence of the very last episode. The building used to be a bank before the station was built here. Down in the basement (at the level of the escalator machinery) the old safe door is still present.
Watch out because this area is muggle central. Please exercise stealth. You are looking for a small magnetic bison container that holds only a log. I'd recommend using public transport to get to the cache site.
Congratulations to Nightroamer uk & Nikki on their first FTF!
