Cloverwort the tree gnome has moved, and is now living with his old school friend, Applestem. Visit their lovely home, sign the log and share some trinkets.
CLOVERWORT: A tree gnome I am. For most of my more than 300 years, in a dark forest I dwelt. But now for several years, beneath a beautiful tree near humans have I lived. Many welcome visitors to the entrance of my home have come.
On a long voyage I recently travelled. Ancient sites and strange places I visited. Though alone I voyaged, another gnome sometimes I would meet. Some gnomes their whole lives seem to travel!
One day another gnome about my own age, across the deck of a ship I noticed. Over to her I walked. Shyly, to her I spoke. To my surprise, her name Applestem was. As very young gnomes she and I at the same school had been taught!
Like me, alone she had lived. Now a new home together we have built.
APPLESTEM: My old friend Cloverwort and I together now live. Near humans our home has been built – good neighbors they will be, Cloverwort tells me. Our food and our treasure beneath the ground have been cached. A Geocache for human friends behind our home is placed. Our front door beside a pretty stream faces. By ancient trees are we shaded. Of an evening, next to one another we sit. To the stream’s gentle gurgle we listen. For fireflies and fairies, we watch.
