Geocache Description:

take county road 450 N in Delaware to find your way...

This is a traditional cache..., hidden near an old train tressel that was finished May18, 1901.  The bridge is 1080.5 feet long and 112 feet at its highest point. It is made up of eleven thirty foot spans, eleven sixty foot spans and one ninety and one half foot span which crossed the channel of Laughery creek.  At the time of its construction it was B&O's longest structure and the total cost was $120,000.   I wanted to share this amazing structure and its history. Quite an impressive sight...to think the bridge work was swung into place just 26 days after the abutments and piers were in place.
