My husband and I would church shop when we were dating, and my husband brought me to this church as it was one of his favorites. We were married by the pastor several years ago in a lovely, low key ceremony which we requested and it's our style. We still attend services here rather regularly and my step-daughters attended (Vacation Bible Camp) VBC when they were younger. They loved it.
Our twin boys attended preschool at the church for two years. The boys learned a lot. Importantly, they also learned about good friends, God, and love and caring from those outside of our immediate family.
This year and last our boys attended VBC, my husband and I taught or helped others teach the kids, and my one step-daughter was a CIT. We all had fun and got to spend some time with our church family. The pastor, his wife, and the staff at the church are all loving and fun people. Miss Dawn is the Director of Youth Ministries and the teacher in the 4 year old class. She is incredible and through this cache she and her husband have found a love for geocaching!
The church offers a food pantry to the community, and my family participates in volunteering and donating food. We all enjoy the time of giving back. Peg runs the pantry and she is the Lay Assistant to Pastor Niels. She is warm and caring.
I hope that you enjoy this cache that was placed with love for a place that we love. Please replace as found and feel free to take a love bug that was made by our class for you and replace it with a small swag item for the next cacher.
The first cashe was mistakenly removed by someone else, so I decided to relocate the cache, make it larger, and the items inside are no longer homemade. There is a prize inside now for the FTF. Next year's VBC, we will refill it with homemade "Love Bugs". Enjoy!
