Geocache Description:

Klövsjö is sometimes called the most beautiful village in Sweden, and we think it might be a fair statement. This multicache will take you on a tour through the village and it is rather easy to solve. If you manage to find the shortest way from start to cache it will be about 4,7 kilometers (all downhill once you leave the starting point). A pocket calculator will be useful for the algebra. During wintertime there will be a lot of snow to get through at the final destination, but it is possible.

1. A view from above
From up here there is a good overview of the Klövsjö village, the lake Klövsjön below, Fettjan on the other side and the mountains beyond.
A) How many telephone poles are there from this spot to the turning area at the end of this road?
B) How many entrances are there on the big green house in the village straight down from this spot?
The coordinates for the next stop are N 62 31.(202B+A) E 014 11.(303A+B)

2. Kullen (the Hill)
Kullen farm lies beatifully in the east part of Klövsjö. Nowadays there is a dairy here with lots of delicious and awardwinning cheeses made from milk from the farms own goats and cows.
C) How many logs does the wall closest to you consist of?
D) How many lamps are there on the wall?
The coordinates for the next stop are N 62 31.(39C+9D) E 014 11.(21C+5D)

3. The church
Right in the middle of the village. Not a bad view over the lake, is it? If it’s around harvest time you might see hay fences on one or two farms in the village, but it’s getting more and more unusual. As late as in the 1990:s each and every farm had them…
E) Until when was Gösta Ullberg the priest of Klövsjö?
F) How many crosses are there on the tower?
The coordinates for the next stop are N 62 31.(E/F-11F+D) E 014 11.(6C+2F+A)

4. Tomtan
Tomtan is since 1963 the homestead farm of Klövsjö. The farm is built around a yard, which was fairly common during the 17th and 17th century. All the 16 houses are originals built where they still stand, and that is a rather unique today.
Close by is a café where you can stop for a cup of coffee and maybe a waffle (not the belgian type, the swedish type wich is so very much better) – the cludberry jam is recommended. If you are really lucky there might be flatbread baking going on in the bakery next to thye café. Yummy!
G) How many window tiles are there on the main house towards the inner yard?
H) How many flag poles are there on the premecies?
The coordinates for the cache are N 62 31.(G-H-F) E 014 10.(6G+6A+3D)

5. Klövsjö from the south
The view from here may be the most beautiful one with the traditional fences and the meadows in front of the lake and the village – if you´re only going to take one picture today this might be a good choice. The last bit of the road is rather bumpy so drive carefully.
