A Cache on the Ticonderoga Branch of the Crown Point Road.
A quick park and grab just off Rt#22-A in Orwell Vt. This was the connecting road betreew Forts Ticonderoga and #4 in Charlestown NH.
Please pull off 22-A on to Brown Lane to hunt down this hide. You may elect to head west on Brown lane about half a mile until it connects with VT Rt #73. A few miles west one it treated to a wonderful view of Fort Ticonderoga and Mt. Independence to the South. Both have Museums and are worth a visit.
These roads were the "Interstate Highways" of their day. Litterally thousands of tons of supplies flowed north from New England to support the efforts of defending the colonies during the Seven Years War and American Revolution.
