Университетската многопрофилна болница за активно лечение "Света Анна" - София АД е основана на 01.05.1879 г, като първоразрядна областна болница. Тя е една от първите седем болници открити в България след освобождението от турско робство. Болницата е наследник на Обединена районна болница "Д-р Рачо Ангелов" и Института за лечение на чуждестранни граждани, които се обединяват през 2000 г. под името Университетска многопрофилна болница за активно лечение "Света Анна" - София АД.

University hospital for Active Treatment "St. Anna" - Sofia was established on 01 May 1879 as first-tier district hospital. It was one of the first seven hospitals established in Bulgaria after the liberation from Ottoman rule. The hospital is a successor to The United Regional Hospital "Dr. Racho Angelov" and the Institute for the treatment of foreign citizens which are united under the name University Hospital for Active Treatment "St. Anna" - Sofia in 2000.
