This place needed a cache. There's almost no place to hide one. What to do? The answer was cast in concrete.
The artistry of the Paiute culture is reflected in the tall basket-like steel shade structures at the trailheads. Also, gardens of indigenous plants grace that area, and in the Sloan trailhead, there are plants in the wash that attract many birds, frogs, fish and other aquatic fauna. I’ve seen a Florida softshell turtle fishing in the water close to one of the dams. Now how did that get there? This section of the wash, however, is somewhat barren and rather sterile, except for the occasional bipedal humanoid riding a bicycle through the dihydrogen monoxide. I thought a geocache might liven things up a bit. An easy walk is nice. A bicycle ride might be nicer.
