Geocache Description:

L'église du Sacré-Cœur (la plus grande église de la ville) date du xixe siècle, de style néo-byzantin. L'église est dotée d'un carillon de 21 cloches.
 

La paroisse est créée en 1876. La construction de l'église débute, ex-nihilo, sur un ancien jardin potager, en 1887. L'inauguration et la consécration ont lieu en septembre 1892 et juillet 1898. Le plan de l'église a été dressé par l'architecte départemental, M. Pons.

The church of the Sacré-Coeur (the biggest church of the city) dates the XIXe century, the neo-Byzantine style. The church is endowed with a carillon of 21 bells.
The parish is created in 1876. The construction of the church begins, ex--nihilo, on a ancient kitchen garden, in 1887. The inauguration and the consecration take place in September, 1892 and July, 1898. The plan of the church was drawn up)by the departmental architect, Mr Pons.
