Geocache Description:

I published a series of caches following the Helena Valley Irrigation Distric Canal below the Regulating Reservoir. The Prequels follow the source of the canal from Canyon Ferry Reservoir to the Regulating Reservoir. For more information on the history of the Irrigation District, please visit the following link: http://hvid-mt.com/history/

So where did this turkey come from?  As I described in the previous cache in this series, the canal abruptly disappears twice, and then reappears on the hills across deep valleys.  There must be piping from one side of the valley to the other, and I think it must be gravity fed.  Still, it is a little unnerving to see this much water just welling up out of the ground.  I would have liked to place caches near the canal on the hill between Spokane Creek and Mud Springs, but it is completely surrounded by private land with no public access.  You can see it on Google Earth, however.

This cache should be pretty easy.  Replace as found, and keep an eye out of muggles.  Don't try swimming, and follow all posted warnings.
