geoaware: I am sorry, but during our constant review process we find that this listing does not meet the current guidelines for an EarthCache.

  1. It does not cover an Earth science topic (geology related)
  2. It is locationless - ie the topic could be covered at any location.

I have archived the cache.

Geocache Description:

[PT]

[EN]

Wind is the gas flow at short range.

[PT]

[EN]

Types of wind.

In this planet is caused by the difference in atmospheric pressure between two regions.
When the pressure difference, air is accelerated in the high pressure region (cold areas in highlands) to lower pressure region (hot areas in the lowlands). The greater this difference greater the wind force, and this action due to the difference of several solar heating zones.
The wind contributes to the destruction of the relief of the Earth through the erosive action, which is highest in desert areas, dry and sparse vegetation, pulling the loose particles of rocks and polishing them to convert it into grains of sand. These end up being deposited on beaches and deserts, where they can form large agglomerates mobile - the dunes.
The wind when transporting the sand particles collides against the rocks, causing wear and rounding them.
However the wind is used by man for purposes such as sporting activities, production of electricity, production of mechanical energy in the mills, displacement of boats, among others.

In outer space, the solar wind is the movement of gases or charged particles from the sun through space, while planetary wind is the release of gaseous chemicals in the atmosphere of a planet.
