When set this series this Green Lane was alive with flora, fauna and heaps of butterflies.
Soon it will be rose hips and blackberries..
Click lock container, suitable for small swaps and tackables.
A series of 9 Caches down a Green Lane, designed to work in with some existing local caches, such as Middleton Hill Prison/Airshaft series and Lets Off Road No1.
Originally planned as an “OnYa Mountain Bikes”! To keep the likes of Stanolli and the Steve Landy’s happy.. But why should they have all the fun! Therefore the frequency of the cache hides is set to keep younger walkers going..
Marked as a byway it can legally be driven with a 4X4, cycled with a mountain bike or walked. These caches are marked as suitable for quad bikes and motorbikes, but only if they are road legal and taxed and the rider has a valid license. Normal laws of the road apply. Please be courteous to other byway users.
Due to the nature of it being a green lane not surprisingly it has wheel ruts to the edge and a bike rut in the middle, coupled with the recent wet there’s a fair bit of standing water in some areas, especially between no GL6 and 9 made worse by 4x4 off roading, but adds to the mountain bike experience! In setting this I have cycled and walked it! .. I have set the difficultly level to represent this on some of the caches.
** WARNING** If you are thinking of taking your precious 4x4 on this lane be warned it is narrow and edged with over grown hedge.. Paint work will get scratched!
