Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small ammo can. There is no need to go near or disturb any gravestones. I usually dont like hiding in cemeteries but this is too big a part of Cincinnati history to pass up. Please walk ALONG not in the field to get to the cache. Please be respectful and no night caching.

George Remus was buried here in 1952. With your back to the field.If you travel about 150ft to the left you will find his grave. The stone is a woman holding two "angels". This beautiful statue was the only thing that Georges 2nd wife, Imogene, didnt sell from his Marble Palace mansion that was located in Price Hill. After getting pressure from hate mail. Georges 3rd wife broke off the angels wings in a fit of rage. It is said that F Scott Fitzgerald met Remus in a Louisville hotel and was so impressed with his story he based his character Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby after George.
