It's a family fun day! Pick up a cache, play on the playground, and have a picnic lunch.
This cache is hidden not far from the big playground at the top of the hill in Glenwood Park. Park anywhere near the playground or the two nearby picnic shelters. There may be poison ivy near the cache site.
There is so much wildlife in Glenwood Park - keep your eyes and ears pealed to enjoy it all. You might want to take a tree identification book . . . especially if you use the hint below. The day we hid the cache, we noticed at least six varieties of trees and several wildflowers (including yarrow, red clover, and black-eyes Susans). We also saw a chipmunk and heard a hawk screaming.
You're looking for a plastic lockable container, covered in camoflauge duct tape. Original contents include a toy raccoon, bubbles, a squishy bug, a marble, and a quarter.
There is a small per person fee to drive into Glenwood Park, but you can walk in for free. It will be quite a walk to the top of the hill and may be too far for little legs.
