These ones are along the course of the old railway line between Thrapston and Higham which shut in the 1960s.
The route takes you down from Kinewell Lake to Stanwick Lakes, the rural park and they link on from Mind The Gap and Thrapston trail caches. You can cycle or walk along a cinder and it takes you through beautiful countryside with no roads.
There are places to get a cup of tea next to this cache and at Stanwick Lakes. You can park at Stanwick Lakes for a small fee and use their rural adventure park; great to entertain children.
These caches are named after Simon Barber who loved the countryside and cycling and would have loved the concept of geocaching.
Cache is located on the Nene Way just off the cinder path you have been following. It is not the usual cache, ideal for wet weather!
Please just unscrew the lid to get to the log sheet.
The bag could contain items if you wish, I've just left the cache. Take a pen. Next cache is Bridge Builder Buff on the way to the next Simon's Trail cache
