L'ascesa al Gran Capuziner (2735 m) (chiamato anche Piz Somplunt) è abbastanza impegnativa, resa difficile anche dalla scarsa segnalazione del sentiero che è poco frequentato. Sulla vetta dominata da una grande croce di ferro e si gode una delle più belle panoramiche del Puez.
