This geocache is a short easy walk through some pretty woods on Bowen Island. The cache itself is hidden at the end of one of several such small tunnels on the island which were dug when people were prospecting for copper many years ago.
To access this cache, park at the trailhead on Mutiny Lane at the following coordinates N 49 22.702 W 123 24.494. Then walk a short distance up the trail to the cache coordinates. This location is at the entrance to a short tunnel in the rock, which you will see on your left as you walk up the trail. The cooordinates may be a bit off, due to the tree cover, but the tunnel entrance is very obvious. The cache itself is not here. It is hidden at the end of the tunnel somewhere. You will need to bring your own writing implement, and a flashlight! it may also be a bit wet underfoot, so take care. There is no room for trackables or swappables. Please hide the cache carefully when you put it back, as some of the local kids play in the tunnel. The 3 star terrain rating is because of the dark, not the difficulty of walking. There is one easy puzzle for you to solve. You will know what it is when you walk down the tunnel, and can solve it by checking out the hint.
