Geocache Description:

CURRENT HOURS CACHE SITE IS AVAILABLE: 8:00am to 9:00pm, Sunday - Thursday and 8:00am to 10:00pm Friday & Saturday. A cache in a busy, fun, historic urban location. Difficulty a 2.5 because of common muggle activity, but if clear of muggles it's a 1.5

You are at some wonderfully renovated historic buildings which, remarkably, surround the oldest building in San Jose.

Founded in 1777, the Pueblo of San Jose was the oldest civil settlement in California.  The Gonzales Peralta Adobe (1797) is the oldest remaining building from that settlement. 

Another of San Jose's most historic buildings can be found right across the street - an 1858 Victorian Mansion called The Fallon House. More information about both structures can be found here: http://historysanjose.org/wp/plan-your-visit/peralta-fallon-historic-site/

Cache is accessible, just outside the Market building 24/7.  Buildings will mess up your coords, so use your geosenses (and the hint). If you come during peak busy periods (Shark's games or free music on the patio nights, for example) you will need to be crafty to avoid detection! On street metered & garage parking available. Street parking free on Sundays.
