Geocache Description:

The Boardwalk near the summit of Rangitoto gives some fantastic views out over the islands of the Hauraki Gulf.



The Boardwalk near the summit of Ranitoto can be missed by anyone who walks straight up the Summit track from the Wharf. We prefer to approach from either the Wilson Park Track or via the Lava Caves Track to the Summit Road. The  Boardwalk  starts from the Road and winds around and up to the Summit with some great views out over the Hauraki Gulf. This cache is hidden near a seat, so sometimes you may need to wait for others to move on before making the find. The cache is now a bison tube. Our thanks to ZacharyZKH for replacing it.
