Either side is observed, Serra Montejunto appears as a wall with a central peak and stoop to the northeast and southwest. The saw features like two faces, one facing north and one facing south. The control of these aspects in relation to surrounding regions, however, very uneven.

In the central part of the mountain slopes are more marked: the southern slope falls from 660 meters at the top of the mountain, for the 240 meters in Cabanas de Torres, which is approximately 400 meters in just over a kilometer, and the slopes reach over 200 feet tall.

The north side has a drop of the same order (300 meters), although the decline did not do as the south side, in one jump. However, are the towering sheer cliffs that occur in the region of Pragança: evade the failure Pragança (Penha do Meio Dia) and the failure of Tojeira which mark the so-called "Anfiteatro de Pragança." This dihedral faces northwest and has limestone walls and a sloping bottom in the same direction. The marls of the Abbey, which form the background, are largely covered by slope deposits (gravel and blocks), resulting from clastic processes acting on the walls, and can flow with the clayey soil, judging by the observed morphology of landslides some locations.
