The geocaches in the Forty Peaks Series are all on top of remote, hard-to-get to high points in B.C.
To get to this cache, you will have to arrive by boat and land at one of the 6-7 landing spots on the island. The closest will be Codfish Bay or Home Bay. A trail connects the two and a rougher trail angles off up the hill near Codfish Bay. The rough route goes to the top of the island, but the better views are on Gibraltar (Rock), the eastern (and higher) hilltop. Look for some flagging tape going left. If you climb the other hill, it is very hard to traverse east because of cliffs.
This is a special spot, a favorite of ours. Enjoy.
