Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Briggs Cemetery.  This cemetery is maintained by the town, which pays to keep it mowed. It served as the burying ground for the local neighborhood. This was not a family cemetery, but many of the people buried here are related to one another and to the original Briggs family who came to this county with the Society of Universal Friends.  Nearly all the stones are in quite good condition, though a few have fallen or broken.

The cemetery is named for the adjacent road and for the family whose graves are so numerous within it. On the town's tax-exempt lists it was often called Southwest Benton Rural Cemetery.

The last burial on the record I could find was from 1926.  Please remember to only seek this cache during daylight hours.  The cache is not hidden on or near a gravestone. Please respect the area.  The container you are seeking is a camoed pill bottle.
