Pine Island is a great place to have a picnic! And whilst you are here, take some time to explore the area!
For example, there is a cool boulder here - a tranquil spot. I could have sat here watching the water go by for hours.
So, pack your picnic basket, grab the kids, a ball or two, and enjoy the river! Oh – but don’t take them to the cache – unless they like to go on walks. There are playgrounds and electric BBQs nearby, and some nice walking paths.
Note: The cache is not accessible if the river is in flood, and the gates to this area close at 9.00pm.
