Geocache Description:

I know one young man that was thankful for this tree being where it is.

I attended an motor vehicle collision at ground zero a few years ago.  Five people were in a truck when it was hit head on by a drunk driver.  One young man wasn 't wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the truck.  Amazingly he landed in this spruce tree.  The tree saved his life.  If the tree was not there he would have continued on to the fence behind the tree or farther into the field.

Thankfully today there is not a white cross here at ground zero.

Everytime I drive by here I think of that collision and ask myself why don't people wear their seat belts and why must people drink and drive!

There is also a nice view from here of the #104 Highway going over Mount Thom.  I didn't have time to note the view the night of the collision.
