Geocache Description:

Glacial Park is a 3,300 acre park that consists of prairies, wetlands, savannahs and delta kames, and provides habitats for over 41 species of animals. The park is also home to several historic buildings including the Weidrich Barn which was built in 1902 and the Power-Walker Homestead which was built in 1854.  The Lost Valley Visitor Center is housed in another historic building that is located in the center of the park and offers an array of information to park visitors.

There are 4 parking lots that allow access to the park.  The Weidrich Barn, Lost Valley Visitor Center and Kettle parking lots are all accessible from Route 31.  The Keystone Road parking lot is found on the west side of the park off Banard Mill Road and allows easy access to Nippersink creek for fishing or canoeing.

All four of the parking lots are ½ a mile or more from the cache and no matter which parking lot you choose there is a lot of hills to hike over.

This cache is about 12 feet off the path, and trudging through some tall vegitation and thorns is required.  Please cache back out to the path in a different direction than you cached in so that the impact to the area in minimal.

This cache is filled with handmade bottle cap and resin magnets so please be considerate and follow the swag rules placed in the cache.

Congratulations to plevafam on the FTF!
