Geocache Description:

Date: 2 November 2012 (Friday)

Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Place: O'Shea's Pub & Eatery (Kinkora, PEI)

Purpose: Social Fun & Island Caching Celebration

This event is a celebration, awards night and big "thank you" to Island cachers who gave back to our sport, all rolled into one. Whether or not you placed any caches this year, we hope to see you at our event. This is your chance to come out and put names to faces, do some networking, have fun, win some great prizes, and thank those Island cachers who made your caching fun and possible. We'll also be recognizing those tireless caching warriors who gave considerable time and effort (at personal expense) to make our Island's premiere "Confed Power Trail" series larger than ever, over 1500 caches!

We've had a number of unique, interesting, and extremely fun events this year [remember the "Shakin' (Not Stirred)" polar bear dip, the Holman Island Ice Walk & "Red Snirt Winter Festival", and the "Red Dirt & Purple Feet" grape-stomping challenge?], but this is the special one because it's all about YOU! If you only make one event this year, this is IT.

Find out the winners of our "2012 TB Amazing Race" contest. Who'll be Nimrod's "Cacher of the Year", joining 2010's stilllooking4me and last year's recipient, olewaif? New this year will be the "Newbie of the Year" award. And, yes, there will be more!

NOTE:

I would also like to thank our hard-working regional cache reviewers -- cache agent, cache tech, and cache chameleon -- for their incredible work in reviewing our many submissions, here on the Island and elsewhere in the Maritimes -- THANKS for a job well done, we appreciate it! In addition to our "regular", day-to-day cache placements, this dynamic threesome reviewed an additional 500+ caches for our Confed Power Trail (1500+ over 2 years), often pushing the envelope to get them reviewed on time before the next weekend's mass release. Well done and much appreciated!
