I wonder if there could have been a ghost at work at the cemetery where this cache is located. It's still a mystery as to how a gravestone of J.J. Hlavac ended up in Marne Creek at Yankton, but it did. The gravestone had been missing from it's proper location for several years, and one family member had actually noted a newspaper report several years ago that a gravestone had been found in Marne Creek. The proper location was finally determined after a Nebraska geneology enthusiast was told of the existance of the stone while he was documenting gravesites in the Tabor area. After some serious research, the geneology enthusiast located the remaining family and had the stone returned to the family and the cemetery. This was no small task since the stone weighed more than 500 pounds, but return it he did. Now the real question is "How did the gravestone end up nearly 15 miles away in Marne Creek at Yankton?" I like to think it may have been the work of ghosts! What do you think?
