This is a breathetakeing cache, as the location gives you the most spectaculare view over the southern part of Norway. It is about 1,5 hours walk to arrive to the destination. The landscape is somehow what it may look on the moon, and there is snow throughout the year.
From Center of Geilo you have to drive towards Oslo, and then take to the left towards Havsdalen ( you will fint NTG on your right hand an Bardøla hotell on your left hand side ).... follow the road alle the way to Havsdalen, and remember that there is a toll road, so you will hva to pay about 30 NOK for a ordinary car. then you have to continue your drive on a gravel road about 8 km until you arrive at Prestholtseter. There you may park your car and start walking towards Hallingskarvet - the big muontan ahead of you. There is about 1hour and a half with slow walking from Presthold and to the top. The view is spectaculare.. it is a rather steap climb, but the new stairs makes it easy to clomb to the top.
