Geocache Description:

This is #2 in a series of 5 caches located along the Box Elder Creek walk-in fishery. You must find all all 4 caches in order to find the 5th cache, the Fish Tales:Final. At the top of each log there will be a number. You will then utilize this number to figure out your destination for the Final stage.

There are many streams and lakes within the Black Hills that are enjoyed by anglers of all ages. The Rainbow trout which this cache is named for is home to Box Elder Creek. On your journey you will encounter numerous creek crossings. You may either boulder hop across or wear sandals and wade across the creek. Be sure to bring bug repellent as sometimes the mosquitoes can get a little pesky in the warmer months. This is a fun hike for the entire family so take the time to enjoy the scenery.
