Silvaculture trail that does a complete loop. Interesting vegetation changes with some views. Not far off trail. No bushwacking required.
Check map at parking area. You can walk through the Minton Creek Education Trail, cross the creek and cross the road or you can drive up towards the gravel pit and park there. The Silvaculture Trail does a complete loop. We found lots of wild raspberries and soap berries. Also a few cow muggles who left pies here and there so watch your step. Its a beautiful forest. You will pass a swamp area and begin to head up hill. There are some information signs along the way that tell you about the forest so be sure to stop and read each one. I would also recommend bringing a camera. There are more caches on this trail and in the area. This cache contains only one type of creature that some people do not enjoy so be warned! If you want one you will have to trade something that others might like. Ofcourse there is also a log book and pencil.
