A series of caches hidden along the Lon Eifion cycle path which runs from Caernarfon to Bryncir – a 12.5 mile (20 km) distance. – The name of the cache gives the nearest access to the cycle track and it’s hoped that cyclists and walkers will enjoy the series. Those less energetic cachers can find parking spots close to the access points and do them as drive-by caches.
Access to this one is near the bridge that crosses the main road.

This scenic 12.5 mile cycle path has recently been upgraded and now has an excellent hard surface all the way. For much of its course it is wider than most cycle paths - as wide in fact as many country lanes.
It skirts the western edge of the main mountains of Snowdonia with good views of the Nantlle ridge and, near Penygroes, a more distant glimpse of Snowdon. Heading south there are fine view of the Lleyn mountains dramatically descending to the sea.
The northern half of the path passes close to several villages: Bontnewydd, Dinas, Llanwnda,Groeslon, Penygroes and Brynkir and the nearest to Caernarfon has been placed on the cycle path close to the old Bryn Seiont hospital (access available a little further along at the rail crossing)
None of the caches are more than 3 yards away from the cycle track and not more than 5 feet above ground level. The containers will vary – some not so much hidden as blending in with their surroundings and therefore (I hope) not too easy. Others are more conventional hides.
Parking is available very close to GZ
