Continuing our trip, we leave the rock cutting behind for a deeper but sloping-sided zone. In wet weather, conditions will be a little worse at this end and boots are recommended.
Along the line several trees have been blown over and got snagged. Most have been cleared away, but this next cache is near a leaning one. Don't linger in direct line! The cache is just beyond.
Just after the cache is the next bridge, which leads to the grandly designed Horncop House, built in 1900. It also carries a footpath, part of the 3 mile Heversham Trail. There is no access up onto the bridge here.
