Polskavi in jih ustrelili.
English:
23rd of March is a local holiday in Zgornja Polskava, because this date marks a tragic event which happened back in 1945, just before the end of the Second World War. On that day the German occupiers took 30 Slovene hostages from the prisons of Maribor and were taking them to Poljčane, where they meant to shoot them. However, a surprise air attack forced the Germans to stop. They lead their hostages, who were bound by wire to prevent escape, into the woods of Gaj in Zgornja Polskava and shot them. On this fateful place, where they were then buried, now stands a monument to the National Liberation War engraved with the names of the fallen.
The cache is easily accessible and is located near the monument. There is a road which leads to the site. To find it, turn off the main road at the petrol station.
