MONUMENTAL TREE - KIZILCAM
The tree is Calabrina Pine (Pinus Brutia) and is located in Cinarli Village in the Kantara Mountains, which are in North Cyprus.
The age of the tree is 300 years, according to the 1991 Investigations. It measures 4.4 metres circumference and is 9 metres tall. Its Turkish name is “Kizilcam”.
This is a good follow on from cache Incirli Cave. Both the cave and the tree are signposted in the village of Cinarli. The left, to the cave is a nice tarmaced road but to the tree the tarmac runs out but it is passable by car. There is a layby just past the tree or before depending on which direction you go. Weekends the tree area can be busy.
