Geocache Description:


A very simple cache near the village Kamenica nad Hronom. It is situated at a place that was endangered by floods several times and only the embankment saved it.

If coming by car

Leave Štúrovo on the road 564 towards Kamenica nad Hronom. When you reach the Reference point 1 turn right onto the dirt road. You can park your car near the dyke.

If coming on foot

You can reach the cache on foot, too. Go to N 47°47.930 E 018°43.580 and walk along the dyke (it turns left after 2.3 km). Walk until you reach the railway bridge. Pass the rails under the bridge. The path is muddy after rain here. Then at N 47° 49.262 E 018°43.937 turn right to the dyke (the coordinates may not be accurate but you won't miss the place) and continue to the cache.

The cathedral and the hills in Esztergom are visible from the place of the cache.
