Geocache Description:

In the era of state sponsored segregated education, Delaware was one of seventeen parcipitating states. The Claymont School District became the first public district in the seventeen segregated states to admit African-American students to their all white schools. A Hyperborean Wanderer's "HISTORYCACHE"!

This cache is placed in honor of the brave men and women; students, parents, teachers, and administrators who struck the first blow that eventually felled the mindless nbotion of "seperate but equal" in this country. The posted coordinates DO NOT take you to the cache. They take you to a plaque where you can take a moment to learn Claymont's role in a decision that eventually changed the entire country.

After you read the plaque, you will need to jot down a few numbers that will give you the location of the final cache. The final cache is located at

    N 39 48.A1B
    W 075 28.C8D

To find coordinate A, write down the first digit of the year that construction of the Green Street School began.

To find coordinate B. write down the second digit of the number of states that sorrowfully practiced legalized educational segregation.

To find coordinate C, write down the day in April that Chancellor Seitz rendered his landmark decision.

To find coordinate D, write down the last digit of the year that the first integrated class graduated.
Check your answers. A + B = 8 C + D = 5.

Plug in the coordinates and make your way to the cache. Cache is a medium sized container with our FIRST travel bug for the FTF!!
