After many years of debate and stalled construction, this intersection was finally redesigned in the late spring, into the summer of 2012 in an effort to reduce traffic congestion and road hazards caused by the 3-way junction of Church Street, Old Main Street and Glastonbury Ave. The resulting bonus of this long overdue project allowed for the placement of benches and walkways that serve to enhance the historic setting of the Rocky Hill Congregational Church which was constructed in 1808. This should be a quick park and grab but judging by the last one I placed…who knows? Only time will tell, get it? “Time” will tell…, yeah I know corny but you can thank me later.
