Geocache Description:

Located in the historic fishing port / village of Robe.

This body of water seems to have no official name but is known locally as the 'bream' lake.

It and the other lakes in the vicinity are semi-saline lakes influenced by tidal movement and seasonal freshwater intake. They all form part of the South East Drainage Scheme, a system that dominates the landscape throughout the region and is highlighted in a number of adjacent Caches.

These lakes and channels are in important part of Robe today and are well utilised for recreational purposes. Dense thickets of Paperbark and T-tree abound and these provide an impotant wildlife habitat.

This specific Cache location focuses on the adjacent jetty / landing construction which was the brainchild of the Robe Lions Club and in particular Lion Bryan Kelsey (Jumbo).

You are looking for a screw top preserved fruit container.
