Enjoy a short walk in the woodland at Ardardan Estate just off the A814 between Cardross and Helensburgh. Not accessible on a Monday as the estate is shut to the public on this day, also it is only open between 1000-1700 so the cache is only available between these times.
The cache is in the woodland walk that is part of Ardardan estate. As a family we love to visit and we decided this would be a fantastic place for our newest hobby of Geo cacheing. Once you have parked in the on site car park, make your way through the shop to the outside where signs will direct you to the woodland walk. Be warned it can be very muddy after rain, and in the summer insect repelant is a must.
There are plenty of amazing views throughout the walk including a bench that you can use to admire the views of the Clyde, being a working farm has a wide variety of animals. About the cache. as the name suggests this is a trail with two caches. the first being the clue box (S1) which the co ordinates lead you too. inside has a small selection of items including a logbook and pen, but more importantly it has the co ordinates and a clue for the final cache. The hooper family hope you have a great time, happy hunting
