Geocache Description:

Short walk from layby.

"Cache placed with the kind permission of the National Trust and Natural England - SSSI” There is no ‘best time’ to see the Lake District it is just ever changing and ever beautiful in so many different ways. In spring see Wordsworth’s daffodils and newly budding foliage appear everywhere and the newborn lambs frolicking in the fields. As the Daffodils are replaced by Bluebells in summer see the mountains and valleys in glorious sunshine, and after the inevitable showers the magnificent rainbows. The warm shades of autumn are inspiring and will take your breath away, but if you would rather feel like you have the Lakes District all to yourself, winter too can be glorious in her winter garb of crisp fresh snow. Don’t forget to take your camera and share your pics - you can't take a bad 'un!
