Geocache Description:

Our family’s intent with this water-only multi-waypoint cache is to share with you the delights of Mud Bay, Bobs Lake, where we rent a wonderful cottage every year.  We’ve cached and explored this and the many other bays of Bobs Lake via canoe, paddleboat, rowboat, sailboat and pontoon boat, and any of these will serve you well in tracking down this hide.  Who knows – a kayak might even work!

Throughout, utilize geo-standard alpha-numeric conversions (A=1, B=2, etc.) and digital roots (sum the digits and re-sum until you get a single digit).

1. At the posted coordinates, count the number of purple martin houses and the total number of visible entry holes. Call them respectively A and B.

2. Paddle, motor or sail on to N44 43 .(2xA)(2xA)(A+B) W76 34.(B)(2xA)(A) and seek out a nearby cottage with a deck. The number of posts holding up the railing of the deck is J. C=J-2. D=B-A. E=B-2. F=J-E. G=B-A-A. H=2A. I=J-B.

3. At N44 42.(F)(D+E)(C-H) W76 35.(J)(2xG)(I) you’ll see in a row Poppa Bear, Momma Bear and Baby Bear almost at the waterline of a large, bisected rock outcropping. The popular, single word for Poppa can be converted to K.

4. Head to N44 42.(K-D)(F)(J) W76 35.(K-F)(G-E)(K). The number of islands you can clearly see within 200 m. is L.

5. Your final destination is N44 42.(B)(K+I)(E) W76 35.(L+A)(J)(K). Watch out for “muddles.”

The total travel distance from the posted coordinates to each waypoint and to the cache is about 3.6 km. The total travel distance from the "Launch - small" site, around the waypoint and cache circuit and back to the "Launch - small" site is 6.5 km.

There are two possible launch-parking sites:
"Launch - small" is at the very end of Mica Point Road, and is a public launch for canoes, kayaks and very small motor boats. It's at N44 42.432 W76 34.665.
"Launch - large" is at Cedar Haven Cabins at the end of Cedar Haven Lane, and is privately operated. It is best for pontoon and other larger motor boats. A $5 put-in and take-out fee applies. It's at N44 42.714 N76 33.996.

CONGRATULATIONS to TheLawrenceClan on their First to Find. Great to see it was new cachers who finally cracked this one.
