FelixFamilia: Thankfully this place is back in business, making maintaining the cache very difficult. We will have to find another hiding place. Thank you!

Geocache Description:

This is yet another PNG along Ogden Avenue.

When I was in college and a young grad we frequented Greek diners like this -- plenty of options to satisfy a large group of friends and relatively inexpensive.  When we first moved to the area over ten years ago, this place was usually crowded.  In the past several years, we have witnessed the decline and now closing of places like this.

We do not dine out as often as we did before kids, and I suspect that others are in a similar circumstance...we all do not dine out as often as we used to.   The economy aside -- several years ago, the New York Times had a article (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/16/nyregion/nyregionspecial2/16Rdinersnj.html?_r=1) about the decline of the Greek diner.

“To tell you the truth, the parents don’t want their children to go into the business,” Mr. Karkambasis said. “It’s a lot of hours, and most of us don’t want our children going through what we went through growing up.”

We thank the generations of hard working immigrants who work tirelessly in the pursuit of the American Dream.  We hope this place can reopen to the standards of their ancestors.  Most of all we hope that people still have an "American Dream."

Congratulations to Team McFarley making the FTF!
