Geocache Description:

The miners' strike of 1984-1985 was one of the most bitter industrial disputes Britain has ever seen as pit communities fought to retain their local collieries. The pit eventually closed in 1989 and was later transformed into a country park much loved and appreciated by the community.

Why not stop and have a picnic and enjoy watching the world pass you by for half an hour or so?
