Pitches -- Armour Rd Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OrigamiFolder: I'm tired of fighting over these little urban micros. I think I'll yield to someone with a larger supply of altoid cans.

Geocache Description:

An addition to the nifty urban series made popular by The Woodland Clan.

(It's PITCHing wedge for the non golfing cachers.)

A quick & easy urban hide. You have the perfect excuse to reach in & grab it.

Use a copy of the free weekly newspaper enclosed as your "stealth" accessory.

The pitches series is slowly moving north! Be on the look out for more as I am a northlander and have scouted a new more spots on this side of the river.

I'd also like to quote the godfather of the pitches series Papa Wood of The Woodland Clan:

"These quick park-n-grabs allow us the opportunity to show parts of our city to out-of-town cachers who are here for business, family travel, or events. I've gotten tons of e-mails from folks thanking me for pointing them to good eateries, neat neighborhoods, and quaint corners.

I also like the fact that going after these can help our in-town crowd keep their streaks going to fulfill various challenge caches put out by our community. Finally, I also like the fact that it allows for some cachers who have mobility issues (wheelchair-bound or walker-using) to be able to cache relatively easily. Look at a Pitches container height and then mentally imagine where a person sitting in a wheelchair will be...."

Excellent points sir and with that I hope you enjoy our every expanding series.

P.S. It's amazing to me how versatile the word "pitch" is!
