It is time to grab the hot dog forks and roast a few wienies. Gretyl is inviting all of her Geocaching friends (even the ones she hasn't met yet) to come and have a little bit of Halloween fun! This year 5cachetrackers are our co-hosts. And it wouldn't be any fun without YOU!
This event is open to absolutely any Geocacher and their family...make sure you bring the kids! There will be food, drinks (non-alcoholic) and prizes. You can sign the official event cache log beginning at 2 p.m. and the event will run until around 5...or so. Gretyl will be placing a new cache or 2...as well as a couple of new ones by 5cachetrackers being published later that afternoon. There will be a "FTF" prize for the first adult to sign-in and a "FTF" prize for the first child (under 18) to sign the log.
If you were here last year, you know how much fun the graveyard is to stroll around in...and this year we are working to make it bigger and better. Since katandkev (and Gretyl) couldn't make it to Geo Bash where the attendee's celebrated "Halloween in July" they decided to go all out for an afternoon of Halloween fun in October! Which if you haven't figured out is katandkev's favorite month!
Costumes are not required...but highly encouraged. You do not have to bring anything but yourself...but if you want to bring a dessert, Gretyl would love to sample what you bring. Last year Kev put on a few pounds enjoying the leftover pies, cookies, cakes...etc.
Please be courteous of the neighbors by being very careful where you park. The easiest place to park will be on Dalewood Drive west or east of Chancellor. Please do NOT park on Chancellor in front of the graveyard.
This event is definitely an "open house" event...come anytime during the 3 hour timeframe...we are looking forward to you being there! Travel Bugs, Geo Coins, Pathtags, etc. are highly encouraged!
