McArthur Island Treasure Hunt (MITH)


The McArthur Island Treasure Hunt (MITH) series is a geo-training playground for new geocachers with a variety of cache types and difficulty levels. Caches are safe, family-friendly, and some are wheelchair accessible. All caches promote the highest standards of geocaching etiquette by encouraging cachers to practice low impact caching, respect other park users, and trade responsibly. 

Most of all, they are meant to be fun!


This is a simple cache to bring you to a spot where you can get a 360 degree view of the island from ground level.  From here you can go in any direction to find one of the many MITH Series caches placed on this jewel of Kamloops.

It is a small camouflaged tube tucked up inside at shoulder height.  DO NOT DETACH THE CONTAINER FROM ITS HOST. You might want to be wearing long-sleeved clothing and gloves to retrieve the container; the tree is a bit prickly.
